Os jogos são uma das principais formas de entretenimento em todo o mundo. No entanto, além de proporcionarem diversão e passatempo, muitos jogos também apresentam um desafio significativo.

Pessoas mais velhas podem ter percebido que os jogos atuais estão mais fáceis em comparação aos jogos antigos, especialmente os das décadas de 80 e 90. Essa percepção levou o portal Vulture a publicar recentemente uma lista dos 100 níveis de jogos considerados os mais difíceis de todos os tempos.

Em geral, o site avaliou a dificuldade de um determinado nível em relação ao restante do jogo e em comparação com outros jogos do mesmo gênero. A dificuldade de cada nível é considerada no contexto do lançamento do jogo, levando em conta como era desafiador naquela época.
