Using Action trigger against this guys it's not an option, cause he may get more turns and he usually use tidal wave a little to much taking your hp down, defending against tidal wave can save you a lot of tank energy.

Also it's recommended to put 2 water resist to all your party, and equip spider one Decoy, someone might get hit be a pressure abyss, you can counter that whit a decoy or X heart, if Massimo takes it he might survive or you can easily revive him whit spider cause of his good speed he wont loses turn.

Using mega thunder while he has liquid coating it's a very good hint to kill this guy, cause the damage enters very clean also getting Massimo power up it's ore effective attacking than X.
