Netflix recebe 160 indicações ao Emmy 2020 e lidera lista; HBO fica em segundo, com 107

O Emmy anunciou seus indicados na tarde de hoje e a Netflix quebrou um recorde, conseguindo o impressionante número de 160 indicações, o máximo que já foi alcançado por uma emissora ou serviço de streaming. Em segundo lugar ficou a HBO, com 107 indicações.

Em indicações individuais para uma minissérie, o destaque de 2020 foi Watchmen, da HBO, com 26 indicações. A Maravilhosa Sra. Maisel, da Amazon Prime Video, se sobressaiu novamente entre as comédias, com 20 indicações – o mesmo do ano passado. Nos dramas, Ozark, da Netflix, e Sucession, da HBO, empataram com 18 cada.

Essa é a segunda vez que a Netflix supera a concorrente. Em 2018, o serviço de streaming acabou com o reinado de 17 anos da HBO ao conseguir 112 indicações, apenas quatro a mais que a rival, que ficou com 108.

Em 2019, com a ajuda de Game of Thrones, a HBO voltou para o topo, com 137 indicações. Na ocasião, o serviço de streaming conseguiu 117 indicações.
