Freedom Wars foi desenvolvido pela Japan Studio exclusivamente para o PlayStation Vita.

O título coloca os jogadores como humanos que vivem em cidades subterrâneas chamadas de “Panopticons”, onde lutam em uma árdua pesquisa para tentar retornar a viver na superfície mais uma vez.

O jogo será lançado no dia 28 de Outubro.

Atualização (Japão)

Um novo trailer da nova atualização de Freedom Wars para a versão 1.20 foi lançado pela Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia. A atualização adiciona um modo PvP (Player versus Player) online ao jogo, com suporte para até oito jogadores.

O trailer mostra dois tipos diferentes de regras: Enemy Elimination, que dá aos jogadores a missão de destruir o time inimigo; e Citizen Search, em que os jogadores resgata cidadãos antes do time inimigo.
