A Academia de Artes Interativas e Ciência (Academy of Interactive Arts & Science) anunciou ontem os candidatos da 19.ª premiação do D.I.C.E. Awards, que acontecerá em Los Angeles no dia 18 de fevereiro. Rise of the Tomb Raider foi o game com mais indicações, com nove no total, incluindo na categoria melhor jogo do ano.
Os outros games concorrendo para melhor de 2015 são The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, e Ori and the Blind Forest. Este último ainda está concorrendo em mais cinco categorias, sendo o terceiro game mais indicado da premiação (o segundo é The Witcher 3, com oito)
Batman: Arkham Knight, Destiny: The Taken King, Rocket League, Lara Croft Go, Life is Strange e Undertale receberam três indicações cada. Os vencedores serão revelados durante uma cerimônia de premiação na quinta-feira, 18 de fevereiro, em Las Vegas. O comediante Pete Holmes retorna como o apresentador do programa.
Além disso, os organizadores do evento anunciaram que o falecido presidente da Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, será homenageado durante o evento com um Lifetime Achievement Award. Ele se junta a um clube ultra-exclusivo, com apenas cinco outras pessoas que receberam a homenagem, incluindo Bing Gordon (fundador da EA), Doug Lowenstein (fundador da ESA), Ken Kutaragi (ex-presidente do PlayStation), Minoru Arakawa (ex-presidente Nintendo of America ), e Howard Lincoln (ex-presidente da Nintendo of America). A noite ainda terá Hideo Kojima que entrará para o Hall da Fama durante a premiação.
