Along with providing updated figures for Switch hardware sales, Nintendo also revealed updated sales figures for their best-selling first party titles on the platform. To no one's surprise, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe continues to dominate with 28.99 million units sold to date. But it's crazy that Animal Crossing: New Horizons, released in March this year, sold 26.04 million units.
With Nintendo releasing regular updates to the game - and more to come when Thanksgiving and Christmas arrive - it probably won't be long before it overcomes Mario Kart 8: Deluxe. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold 21.10 million copies, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 19.74 million copies, moving closer to the 20 million mark.
Pokémon Sword and Shield, which will celebrate its first birthday this month, also performed very well, with 19.02 million copies sold. Check out the 10 best selling Switch first party titles (until September 30th) below.
