Scorn is a dark and grotesque horror game set in a biomechanical maze. It was first revealed in 2016 and is a narrative-based FPS that combines grotesque body terror and action gameplay with bizarre and distressing images, inspired by the work of H.R.Giger, from the Alien franchise.
Scorn will be released on PC and Xbox Series X | S as an exclusive console, with a release planned for 2021. Ebb Software has now revealed more of what is to come, presenting an almost final version of the gameplay of the game.
In the gameplay video, there is a sense that Scorn aims to put players in a state of confusion that, based on gameplay, intensifies over time. The images shown in this video are extremely strange, but still interesting - especially for fans who liked the Alien series.
According to the developers, in addition to being directly inspired by H.R.Giger, it is also based on the works of the surrealist artist Zdzisław Beksiński. The result is something designed to put you in a constant state of discomfort, but it still makes you eager to dive deeper into his world.
