It was revealed today by ComicBook that Disney is reevaluating plans for Black Panther 2 after the death of Chadwick Boseman.

Boseman's death recently after a secret battle with colon cancer caught the entire world off guard.

Although, in fact, the wounds of Boseman's loss are still too recent for Black Panther 2 to be a cause for concern, Disney and Marvel have a clock running over their respective heads.

THR has a detailed analysis of how the ramifications of Chadwick Boseman's death are now reverberating at Marvel Studios. Kevin Feige only learned that Boseman was battling cancer hours before the actor's death.

Boseman apparently never gave up on believing that he would win cancer and film Black Panther 2 and reportedly started preparing in early September to regain the significant weight he lost.

Not surprisingly, the Disney and Marvel Studios teams are now trying to process Boseman's loss on a personal level, as he was as respected off-screen as for his performances.

Persisting on the edges of this sadness is the business that comes close to what to do with the billion dollar franchise, which is now without its main star.

There is also an indication that Marvel had plans for T’Challa / Black Panther to be one of the main protagonists in this saga of the Marvel Cinematic universe, which means that the entire history of the franchise may now have to be reconsidered.
