We are firmly in the quiet summer weeks now, so it is no surprise to see the PS4 game Ghost of Tsushima reach the third consecutive number 1 in the UK box game charts.

The action game achieved the result, despite a 40% drop in sales week by week. Now, it corresponds to the number of 1st Place points achieved by the other recently released PS4 hit, The Last of Us: Part II.

Meanwhile, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is still in second place. The Nintendo Switch game is the biggest game of the year so far in terms of boxed sales and is about five weeks from the sale of its predecessor, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, released on the 3DS in 2012. Of course, that data doesn't include digital sales, so New Horizons is likely to be the biggest game ever.

Although it has been a quiet week in terms of big new games, there have been several minor titles that have made it onto the charts. The biggest entrepreneur is Destroy All Humans! in 3rd place.

The franchise has not been seen since 2008 and is presumed dead after the collapse of publisher THQ in 2012. However, the series was resurrected by THQ Nordic, with the creation of this remake.

The latest Destroy All Humans: Path of the Furon, released on Xbox 360 and PS3. That game debuted at 33rd Place, and this remake sold 50% more units at launch than the title. Again, with digital, this new title is likely to perform even better.

The next highest release is Skater XL, published by game distributor Solutions 2 Go. The new skateboard does reach 7th place after a period on Steam Early Access.

The skate genre is set for a kind of comeback, with a remake of Tony Hawks' first two games and a new Skate game, both in progress.

The third in our series of twists is Streets of Rage 4, in 14th place, which is the first game in the series since 1994. The new game may have gotten higher, but it was actually made available digitally in April.

Here is the Top 10 of the week in the UK:

1. Ghost of Tsushima

2. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

3. Destroy All Humans!

4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

5. F1 2020
