Final Fantasy XVI will have some kind of exclusivity on PlayStation 5, according to rumors circulating online.
ResettraA forum member Navtra revealed recently that Final Fantasy XVI is currently in development and should be revealed during the PlayStation 5 Future of Gaming event in June. The game, apparently closer than people think, will have some kind of exclusivity on PlayStation 5.
While everything Navtra has said about Final Fantasy XVI may be false, there are some things that suggest that the user can be trusted. First, he correctly revealed the schedule of the Future of Gaming event before it aired and even talked about Marvel's exclusive PlayStation DLC, before the official announcement made yesterday. Second, the user was verified by ResetERA team member, Transistor, who confirmed that Navtra is aware of these matters.
A temporary exclusivity from PlayStation 5 to Final Fantasy XVI would not be so surprising, considering the Final Fantasy VII Remake deal that made the game exclusive to PlayStation 4 for a year. The franchise has also been closely associated with the PlayStation brand since the launch of Final Fantasy VII in 1997, so it would make sense for Sony to seek such a deal to increase PlayStation 5 sales.
Final Fantasy XVI has not yet been officially announced. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more appear, so stay tuned for the latest news.
