During Opening Night Live, the Gamescom 2020 opening show hosted by Geoff Keighley, Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment finally showed the first trailer for Medal of Honor Above and Beyond, a high-budget war FPS geared towards Oculus Rift VR .
The footage gave us a spectacular glimpse of what promises to be an exciting single player campaign that will scale players as an OSS agent (Office of Strategic Services) in a Europe devastated by World War II.
The adventure, based on real historical facts, will offer land, sea and air passages.
In addition, historical fans of the franchise will have no difficulty recognizing some recurring characters, such as Manon Batiste, a French resistance fighter who has appeared in several games in the series, and Dr. Gronek, a well-known scientist in 1999's Medal of Honor.
In Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, the camera never leaves the player's eyes. Each scene was filmed and projected around the perspective of the users who use the headphones.
