Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver receives an AI-enhanced Remaster HD mod

Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver fans, here's something special for you today. RainaAudron has just released a remastered high definition AI mod for the classic game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.

This remastered mod tries to significantly improve the blurry textures in the game. Note, however, that this mod is for the Dreamcast version of the game. Still, PC players can use a Dreamcast emulator to play and enjoy this unofficial remaster.

According to RainaAudron, the Dreamcast version is in some ways better than the PC and Playstation versions.

“The Dreamcast version has superior polygon versions of Raziel Kain and enemies, but its textures are more pixelated than PC or even Playstation in some cases. Furthermore, Raziel and Kain's new faces were also not something I was a fan of. However, it offered 60fps and a dynamic soundtrack, something missing from the first on the Playstation and the last on the PC. ”

As such, and using this HD Texture Pack, PC players can enjoy this classic game on modern systems through emulation. RainaAudron suggests using the Flycast emulator for Dreamcast (which is probably running the game at full speed). Of course, you can also run the game in 4K resolutions to smooth out the game's knurls.
