Focus Interactive reacted to allegations of mistreatment of Limestone Games employees during the development of beat 'em up Aeon Must Die, a game revealed at State of Play for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

As soon as the reveal trailer was presented on Youtube, an alternative version appeared on a YouTube channel, accompanied by a description that speaks of "theft and manipulation".

"The people who worked on each image of this are no longer in the company that owns the property rights. Some didn't even get paid for their work. This trailer has a pending IP conflict. The game's true intellectual property has been stolen from creators through a scam. "

The person responsible for this video also left the link to files with documents that he claims to reveal everything that happened with the game.

The documents include letters, audio files and testimonies from several members of Limestone Games, who say they were forced to leave the studio in the face of unbearable working conditions, especially "endless crunch, harassment, abuse, corruption and manipulation".

It is also said that the company and all intellectual property was secretly taken from Aleksei Nehoroshkin, who left the studio as a result of working conditions.

The main target of most of the accusations is Yaroslav Lyssenko, the current CEO, accused of threatening employees, firing employees before the date they had presented in his letter of dismissal ends and even ignoring the employees' lawyer.

Focus Home Interactive received a request to help finish the game in humane conditions and with the best possible quality, something that deserved a reaction from the publisher, who also asks for concrete evidence of these allegations.

The publisher presented on social media a statement in which it claims to be aware of these allegations and will conduct an investigation to find out everything that has happened and is happening.

"As a publisher of the game, Focus is carefully verifying these claims and will draw the necessary conclusions if they prove to be well-founded and will also take the necessary steps."
