Since it has been shown, the Digimon revival has given something to talk about among fans of the original anime. Although the characters are the same characters we met back in the early 2000s, some things are coming out differently in this reboot, and that seems to directly imply the number of episodes that the new anime will have.
As noted by Twitter user @JP_Excelsior, a catalog of licenses from Toei Animation in Europe has the new Digimon series listed as one of the company's products this year. However, the most relevant information on the page reveals that the anime is scheduled to have 66 episodes of 23 minutes each.
The number is significantly higher than that of the original series, which had a total of 54 episodes before presenting a new generation of digests.
